About God…
God is the loving Creator of all that exists, both seen and unseen. God is eternal and completely good, knowing all things, having all power and majesty. God exists as the Trinity, in three persons, yet one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God passionately desires relationship with us and towards this end continually invites us into a relationship of faith, friendship, learning, and service.

About the Holy Spirit…
The Holy Spirit, is the experienced, empowering return of God's own personal presence in and among us, who enables us to live as radically eschatological people in the present world while we await the consummation. The Spirit's activity is witnessed in both the mission of God and in the believing community and it is experienced personally and communally. The effects of the Spirit's activity is unlimited and varied. On a communal level the effects of the Spirit's work are seen in fostering unity, interdependence, mission, Christ-like character, and love among Christians. On an individual level the Spirit's empowering presence is witnessed in the fruits of Spirit (the ethical life) and the gifts of the Spirit both of which ultimately have communal impact. The Spirit's work is witnessed as the empowering of everyday life and the ability to do greater things than could otherwise be accomplished in our own, human, strength.

About the Bible…
We believe that the Bible is the story of God's relationship with humanity. A story about humankind's origins in complete relationship with God, humankind's abandonment of him, God's activity in reconciling us to him and restoring all of creation to its intended purpose. This story culminates in the life, death, resurrection and ascension of the person of Jesus Christ. Against the backdrop of humankind's abandonment of God the story of Jesus Christ is the message of good news. Good news that became the empowering message of the church. Through the telling and hearing of this story of God's interaction with humankind, we believe God graciously speaks into our present context. This story has the power to direct our living faithful lives, to change our behaviours and words, to help us to be more fully human. We believe that God's unchangeable Biblical message ought to be understood in the context in which it was written and be presented in relevant and contemporary ways, free of religious jargon and understandable to the people of our world.

About Salvation…
All people are created with dignity and value in the image of God, to live in a vital relationship with God. However, through sin, choosing to take control of our own lives, this divine image and likeness that marked humanity was marred. Because of the broken relationship with God, there are destructive consequences in all facets of our lives, in this life and beyond. Further, these destructive consequences begin in ourselves and extend to all relationships that we humans have (with God, each other and the rest of creation). However, God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to rescue us from those consequences and to restore our broken relationships with God and others, through Christ's death on the cross, the perfect act of salvation for each of us. Salvation comes to people on the basis of God's grace through their faith in Jesus alone. This faith is demonstrated through repentance of sin and results in forgiveness, reconciliation and in being spiritually reborn as new creations. Therefore, good works and holy living, although unable to save anyone, are the natural product of a real faith. God's rescue, his salvation, is a past, present and future reality, that is captured in the saying, “I was saved, I am being saved, and I will be saved.”

About the Church…
The church is called out people of God, who come together and form the body of Christ and a fellowship in the Spirit of all those saved by the grace of God. This one, holy, catholic and apostolic church expresses itself in a local body of believers and encompasses and transcends the various local, denominational and trans-denominational expressions of the life of the believing community. The church is called and sent into the world by the Triune God to declare and demonstrate the Good News of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.
